Originally released more than 20 years ago, a new version of Star Wars: The Bounty Hunter will be released on consoles and PC in August. This version will finally allow players to unlock the iconic Boba Fett, something that was teased in the original version but never made available to the public.

Developed and published by Lucasarts in 2002, Star Wars: The Bounty Hunter takes place before the events of Attack of the Clones and stars Boba’s clone father, Jango Fett, as he takes on the dangerous mission of eliminating the Dark Jedi.

In this adventure, players will have at their disposal a powerful arsenal of weaponry that being a Mandalorian offers, and in addition they will be able to engage in third-person combat as well as subtle but realistic platforming.

Developer “Aspyr” announced the remake and released a trailer showing updated visuals, and it will be released on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Switch, and PC on August 1. More details are available on PlayStation Blog.

This remaster will feature improved textures, a new dynamic lighting system, and even the addition of a flashlight to Jango Fett’s arsenal of tools and weapons.

A flashlight would be helpful in some very dark areas of the game. In the past, players have complained about the lack of flashlights, so 22 years later, Aspyr has finally addressed this issue.

Perhaps one of the most interesting aspects of this remaster is the inclusion of the famous Boba Fett. In the original bounty hunter, there was a low-resolution texture that contained a secret message: “Collect all rewards to play as Boba”.

This is not a feature of the game. However, this time around, after completing the game, players will be able to once again play as Boba Fett as a bounty hunter.
