Today (12th) President Ranil Wickremesinghe appointed Mr. Parinda Ranasinghe as the new Attorney General.
After Mr. A’s appointment was approved, he began serving as the new Attorney General, having previously served as Senior Deputy Attorney General.
Mr. Parinda Ranasinghe has been appointed to fill the post of Attorney General falling vacant on the expiration of the term of Mr. Sanjay Rajaratnam, who served till the 26th.
The new Attorney General, Mr. Parinda Ranasinghe, is also the son of the country’s renowned former Chief Justice, Mr. K. Parinda Ranasinghe.
