The Ethiopian Meteorological Institute announced that heavy rains are likely to occur in parts of Ethiopia as winter approaches, causing sudden river flooding and landslides.

Ethiopia’s Southern Regional Disaster Risk Management Committee has identified areas at risk of landslides and flooding and urged residents to take precautionary measures.
