The Olkusz District Prosecutor’s Office, which is investigating the attempted murder of a 38-year-old woman, submitted an application for three months of pretrial detention for Łukasz G. — On Monday, the Olkusz District Court approved the request, prosecutor Mariusz Boroń said.
On Sunday, the 36-year-old was charged with attempted murder and causing a life-threatening illness. The man is accused of pouring gasoline on the woman and then setting her on fire. Second- and third-degree burns covered about 60% of the victim’s body. Łukasz G. will also be charged with threatening life. The man pleaded not guilty and gave an explanation.

On Friday, police received reports of a house burning in Szechler (Małopolska).The woman was taken to hospital by helicopter with serious injuries. At the same property, a 31-year-old, a 36-year-old and a 46-year-old were detained under investigation.
