Authorities said all nine people on board – two pilots and seven passengers – were feared dead.
A search and rescue operation is underway in Chachoengsao province after the plane crashed on Thursday for unknown reasons while en route from Bangkok to Trat province on the Gulf of Thailand, near the Cambodian border.
Rescue efforts were hampered by heavy downpours, but authorities said some bodies and parts of the burnt-out wreckage had been found.
According to local media reports, there were four Thais and five Chinese on the crashed plane.
