“Tesla is recalling certain 2016 Model X vehicles. The front and center roof panel trim elements are bonded without primer,” the document states.
The regulator said it was recalling 9,136 vehicles, warning that trim pieces could fall off while driving, which could lead to dangerous conditions on the road and increase the risk of an accident.
A similar problem was reported in November 2020, but at that time the problem involved the front and rear roof assemblies.
