The proposal was made by the President of Bolivia to the G77+China member states.

Bolivian President Evo Morales yesterday asked the member states of the Group of 77 + China to include in their national and international agendas 10 fundamental tasks to overcome the world crisis caused by the current capitalist system and achieve balanced development of humanity and Mother Earth.

These include moving from sustainable development to comprehensive development in balance with Mother Earth; moving from representative democracy to participatory and community democracy and democratizing wealth; declaring basic services a universal human right; decolonizing the economy, culture and knowledge; and eradicating hunger in the countries of the South.

It also aims to put science and technology at the service of people and humanity; to create a new global financial architecture; to gain sovereignty over natural resources; and to consolidate international institutions that serve people and complement each other’s strengths.
