The Critical Care Conference and Exhibition currently being held in Dubai showcases a cardiopulmonary resuscitation device that can be remotely controlled from a distance of 20 meters to prevent medical staff, including doctors and nurses, from mixing with people infected with infectious diseases.
The 20th edition of the event also saw the launch of a new dual anti-inflammatory drug for the treatment of serious conditions such as sepsis.
Dr. Hussein Al Rahma, critical care consultant, president of the International Arab Society of Critical Care Medicine, vice president of the Global Network of Emergency Medicine, founder and president of the UAE Critical Care Society, and chairman of the conference, explained that the resuscitation device – which is the latest and most advanced – is placed on the patient, controlled at a distance of 20 meters and gives the patient’s weight, height and type of illness, thus providing medical staff with protection against infectious diseases and helping those infected with these diseases recover faster.
He stressed that currently 90% of nursing departments in hospitals across the country have adopted modern technologies such as artificial BroadCast Unitedligence, and the rapid recovery rate of patients in intensive care units is as high as over 90%. The existence of these technologies helps to shorten the patient’s stay in the intensive care unit and promote rapid recovery after surgery, because smart devices will remind nurses or doctors that the body has reached a stable state and can be removed. Its oxygen generator is considered a breakthrough in the field of critical care.
He noted that the country’s hospitals are among the best in the world in the treatment of purulent infections by providing the latest drugs, and that hospital intensive care units have electronic systems that allow doctors to monitor patients’ brain movements around the clock, especially stroke and pre-stroke patients, to protect patients from serious complications that usually occur after a stroke.
