A teenager was injured by lightning while working at an address in Peltophorumlaan, Suriname, on Saturday afternoon.
The victim was unconscious and taken by ambulance to the Paramaribo University Hospital emergency department.
At approximately 4:50 p.m., Houttuin police received a report of a lightning victim at the above address.
Upon arrival at the scene, the victim’s employer contacted police and said the teenager was working when he was struck by lightning.
The police report states that further details regarding the teen’s health will be released later.
