Minister of Transport, Communications and Tourism (TCT) Uraiqit Ramsaran visited Johan Adolf Pengel Airport (JAP) this week to support the customer service initiative launched by the ministry for frontline workers.
Attendees included the management of the TCT division as well as the management and management team of NV Luchthavenbeheer.
Ramsaran stressed the importance of the program, as staff at international airports are the first point of contact for tourists. The training program also aims to improve mutual cooperation between the various service departments at the airport.
During the visit, Ramsaran was briefed on passenger processing, from check-in, security procedures, baggage handling to air traffic control.
The minister praised the airport’s current developments. Ramsaran said: “The patience and understanding of the travelling public will be rewarded.”
The Minister called on all players at the airport to work together to ensure a positive experience for passengers. “Let’s provide them with the best service possible and TCT is on the way,” the Minister stressed.
