Tbilisi Deputy Mayor Irakli Bendeliani said after a meeting between Kakhi Kaladze and GWP company representatives that it would take up to a week to complete the water supply.
According to him, 63,000 users have been supplied with water as per the plan.
“The water supply to part of the population was interrupted due to the natural processes that occurred in Sakura Shige, which damaged the drinking water main. Of course, from the very beginning, when this fact arrived, the company reacted. The relevant teams worked on the scene 24 hours a day. To date, drinking water has been supplied to 63,000 users on schedule. In addition, if the population requests it, water will be supplied through appropriate reservoirs. These 63,000 users will receive drinking water for up to one week according to the schedule. This term will be required for the full recovery of the current situation,” said Bendriani.
Near the village of Tsitsamuri, one of the most important central main water supply pipelines of the Tbilisi water supply system, which transports drinking water in the direction of Tbilisi and Mtskheta cities, was unexpectedly interrupted.
Most of the population in the capital has regular water supply.
