The area’s use will also be expanded to include retail and food and beverage industries, which are critical to the country’s economic recovery plan.
JAKARTA (ANTARA) – PT Taspen Properti Indonesia, a subsidiary of PT Dana Tabungan and Asuransi Pekawai Negeri (Persero) (TASPEN), is developing Oasis Central Sudirman in partnership with Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. to encourage foreign investment.
“This project is a strategic cooperation between Indonesia and Japan, especially between TASPEN and Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. Mitsubishi is a world-renowned developer, so this cooperation means foreign investment coming to Indonesia,” TASPEN Planning and Actuarial Director Feb Sumandar said on Monday.
At the signing ceremony of the general contractor for the Oasis Central Sudirman project, he said the project, with an investment of Rp 10.6 trillion and expected to be completed in 2029, is also expected to create new jobs for local workers.
He revealed that two towers will be built on the 3.3 hectares of land owned by TASPEN. One of the towers is planned to be used as a commercial building, including offices, hotels and lifestyle stores, while the other will be used as apartments.
“The use of the Oasis Central Sudirman area will not be limited to the real estate sector. The area’s use will also extend to the retail and food and beverage industries, which are vital to the country’s economic recovery plan,” Sumandar added.
He said the creation of commercial and residential areas would support the government’s efforts to develop more transit-oriented development (TOD) areas.
The area will offer multiple public transportation options such as the Mass Rapid Transit or MRT (from Dukuh Atas BNI MRT Station), Light Rail or LRT (Dukuh Atas LRT Station), and Greater Jakarta Commuter Rail or KRL (Sudirman Station and Sudirman Baru BNI City Station).
One can also reach the area on foot from Sudirman Baru BNI City Station, from where one can take the Airport Train to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, or take the Transjakarta Bus at Dukuh Atas Transjakarta Bus Station.
“Hopefully, this project will create a multiplier effect for the national economy,” Sumandar added.
