The principal and three teachers, including two female teachers, of a school in Tanamarvila were arrested by the police.
They were arrested for covering up the rape and abuse of a 16-year-old girl by students for a year.
Police arrested 21 students and a suspected mother of the student and detained them yesterday until August 22.
