Artist Basma Bousil officially announced her separation from artist Tamer Hosni in April 2023 through a post on the account of the social networking site Instagram.

She wrote at the time: “We created affection and mercy among you… This is the word of our Lord regarding marriage and divorce. The divorce between me and Tamer is complete and all affection and respect will remain between us. May God bless you and me with all the best. Amen, Lord.”
