Mosman’s luxury housing market has edged closer to eastern suburbs prices following the quiet sale of investment banker and Sydney Swans chairman Andrew Pridham’s Federation mansion for about $40 million.
The exact selling price has not yet been announced, but considering the lack of local listings and sales, it is hoped that it will bring a much-needed boost to the local market before the arrival of spring.

The luxurious businessman’s residence, long known as “Kia Lama,” last traded more than 25 years ago when it was sold by John and Patricia Gerahty for $6.05 million.
Kia Lama has been touted by local agents as one of Mosman’s most luxurious homes. The home is set on more than 2600 square metres and comes with a tennis court, swimming pool, gymnasium and, according to independent sources, “spectacular views across Mosman to the city”.
It was sold by Michael Coombs of Atlas.

The recent renovation was handled by Cadence & Co, the luxury residential design and construction firm that built the Terrey Hills trophy estate Charlotte Park sold last year for $24.5 million Cricket’s golden couple Alyssa Healy and Mitchell Starc.
Pridham, who originally founded global asset manager MA Financial as a consultancy with the backing of US investment bank Moelis, is no stranger to Mosman’s house price records.
