José Manuel Campo, a member of the FESA Professional Academy for High Competitive Athletes, has received a scholarship to study and swim at the Esterházy Károly Catholic University in Eger, Hungary, where he will develop a career in business administration and management.
The athlete is grateful for the opportunity given to him and is very happy to learn and improve himself in a different country. He also mentioned his expectations for the experience.
“My expectation is to adapt as quickly as possible, start all my training and studies, and continue to represent El Salvador at international competitions and, of course, at the university,” he told El Mundo in a conversation at FESA’s facilities.

Manuel will travel this Saturday to attend the course that starts on September 9. Likewise, he is satisfied with all the benefits that the scholarship has provided for his training as an athlete and student.
“100 per cent of the scholarship is for the study material provided by the university as well as the facilities, and also the sports facilities, the sports component also has the coaches, all the sports resources needed for training, and the sports resources at the university, accommodation and food,” he said.
Campo stressed that anything can be achieved with hard work, sacrifice and perseverance, and encouraged child athletes to pursue their dreams. He also said that he will do his best to successfully complete his studies and achieve excellent sports results.
For her part, the mother takes satisfaction in seeing her son succeed and is proud of the support she provided to his success.
Campo will be the first Salvadoran athlete to benefit from such a scholarship.
