BABAN – The Green Life Movement and the Deaf Association are organising an All-Around Sports Day.

The purpose of this sports day is to make society aware of the situation of people with disabilities through sports and environmental activities. The event will be held at Coronation Park in Mbabane.
This was confirmed by Green Life and Deaf Association Director Ntombifuthi Mavuso, who stressed that the event scheduled for Saturday is aimed at bringing people with disabilities together with the public and fostering a sense of belonging in the community.

The event will start at 9am and end at 3pm, and is open to participants aged 6 to 60. There will be a range of games including tennis, football, netball, chess, hula hooping and tug of war. In addition to the sports activities, attendees will have the opportunity to watch a live demonstration of jewelry making from discarded materials and receive basic sign language instruction.

“Entrance is free; however, attendees are encouraged to donate a loaf of bread or €20. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase on site,” said Mavuso. Those wishing to donate can call 7871 1965. Mavuso extended a warm invitation to all, stressing the importance of their presence in ensuring the success of the event, which not only focuses on people with disabilities but also promotes physical health through sports.
