The Ministry of Education, Science and Culture of Suriname has announced that it will restart screening of children who are ready for school, with a special focus on children who will turn 4 years old no later than March 31, 2025.
The project was stopped several years ago and is currently being revived.
The screening will focus on various aspects of a child’s development, including language, motor skills, social-emotional development, and cognitive skills.
The ministry is calling on all parents of children eligible for this screening to register. The screening will be conducted by qualified professionals.
