The City of Papeete invites the public to its summer opera events in Jardins-de-Paofai.
With the collaboration of the French Polynesian Academy of Arts and the support of the State, through the Ministry of Culture’s “Cultural Holidays” system, the Polynesian public will have the opportunity to enjoy two iconic works of the classical repertoire for free on Friday, August 30 and Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 6:30 p.m.

• Friday, Aug. 30, “Romeo and Juliet”: Charles Gounod’s five-act opera based on William Shakespeare, directed by Thomas Jolly.
