Livno – The Livno City Court confirmed the indictment filed by the Central Bosnia Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office against Adnan Tulić, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of the Una-Sana Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, who was charged with the criminal offence of fraud in obtaining evidence for loans.
Pursuant to a previous decision of the Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Livno Court was designated as the competent local court to hear the relevant indictments.
Tulić is accused of intentionally submitting an application with false information on July 19, 2022, following a public call for approval of a loan from the USK Housing Assistance Fund for the purchase of an apartment or the construction of a personal residential building. Tulić applied for this call as a child of a fallen soldier, and although he knew that he did not meet all the requirements, he stated in the application he submitted that he and his family did not own a residential unit.
That is, Tulić had previously acquired ownership of the apartment, but stated the opposite in his loan application. He also concealed the fact that he previously owned an apartment and sold it in 2020, but did not disclose it. All these circumstances were enough to exclude him from the loan options, but in the end he was approved for 95,000 marks at a very favorable interest rate, to be paid in two installments until October 12, 2022. According to the indictment, Tulić used the loan amount for a completely different purpose, namely for the construction of a building for a completely different purpose, not to solve the housing problem, and the building was registered as a holiday home and used for catering services. Unofficially, it is an apartment building located on the banks of the Lohovo Una River, near Bihać. Tulić is accused of fraud in obtaining the loan, and the case will be heard in the Livno City Court.
By the way, this is a young prosecutor who initiated and handled several major cases in the field of economic crime. The Disciplinary Committee of the First Instance of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council subsequently suspended Tulić until the end of the court proceedings.
