We were nearing the end of our trip, our fourth and final stop, in St. Thomas.

The archipelago is part of the Lesser Antilles and consists of about fifty small islands, most of which are uninhabited. The three main islands are: St. John, St. Thomas, and St. Croix.

To find all the islands you can visit:

Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493, Las Vegas(“Virgin”), followed in that order by the Netherlands, Spain, Britain, Malta, France and Denmark, before being acquired by the United States in 1917.

St. Thomas is home to Charlotte Amalie, the capital of the U.S. Virgin Islands and one of the most important ports in the Caribbean.

I am no exception and always take my first photo on the boat!

I found this island most similar to St. Martin: same topography, same scenery, and houses scattered among the hills.

We are back on another bus tour!

Lena is so happy!

At the port, all the boutiques are luxury boutiques and of course “duty free”!

First stop, first viewing point: St. John in the distance, and the Tortola Islands.

Then we went back to see Charlotte Amalie, but on a high ledge!

Virgin Islands National Park is made up of many small islands and you can see the beginning of Puerto Rico in the distance (only 63 km away!!)

DSC09002

You can even take a seaplane to visit other islands! Cool!!

DSC09003

Our ship is still disproportionately large compared to the island!

DSC09000

Then we headed to the north of the island and we discovered Magens Bay, the most beautiful beach on the island! But we didn’t have the chance to go there!

DSC09010

There is a small island in the back with a strange name: Big Hans Lollik.

DSC09011

But no matter what it’s called, the scenery is magnificent!

Finally we went to the “House of St. Peter” : A first class hotel with lush gardens.

DSC09029

The gardens are magnificent and it’s located high up so the views are still great!

DSC09031

But first you have to take a photo in front of the fountain!!

The bougainvillea is so huge!

Meanwhile, Zoe was enjoying the view!

Before returning to the ship, we got to take a cable car! ! ! ! !

DSC09064

But we were told, not for the ski slopes, but for paradise!

DSC09066

The girls went up the hill with their noses pressed against the windows!!

DSC09069

We dominate all of Charlotte Amalie.

DSC09072

And if you zoom in really closely, you can almost see if there’s anyone in the boat’s swimming pool!

DSC09073

We also noticed some rather nice little “huts” as we climbed up!

DSC09078

Here we are!

DSC09080

Ah! It turns out we are in heaven!!!

DSC09086

We even got to see a show, and a Limbo show! That wasn’t easy for Léna!

DSC09093

But with Zoe it happens automatically! ! !

DSC09092

Then here we are, not racing snails, but hermit crabs!

DSC09099

It’s time to go back…

DSC09098

Let us enjoy this view one last time!
