The President’s Research Award ceremony will be held at Thursday, November 14, 2024.
The Vice-Chancellor’s Research Award is presented to outstanding researchers at the University of the West Indies St Augustine campus in recognition of their contributions during the period 2019-2024. The research awards, called the Vice-Chancellor’s Research Award, will be presented starting in 2023. These awards are primarily intended to recognize elite researchers at campus and faculty level, while encouraging a culture of research on campus among academics and professionals.
This year, applications are accepted in the following categories:
Campus Awards
– President’s Best Researcher Award
– President’s Award for Most Influential Community Research
– Best Team Research
– Most Outstanding Regional/International Research Project
– Most Effective Research Department Award
– Most Productive Research Institution, Center or Unit Award
– President’s Special Innovation Award
– Most Promising Early Career Award
– Most Outstanding Graduate Student Award and Supervisor Award
Academy Awards
– Most Outstanding Teacher Researcher
– Most Outstanding Researcher of the Center/Institute/Unit
Open Award
– Hurricane and Earthquake Mitigation Research (HEAR) Award
