Ocho Rios police in St. Ann are investigating the shooting and injury of a 47-year-old vendor in the parish on Thursday.

It was learned that the victim was shot by an unknown assailant while at the Blue Hole in the Lodge area around 5 p.m.

He was taken to hospital for treatment.

A motive for the shooting has not yet been determined.
