Ocho Rios police in the St. Ann area are investigating the murder of a raft operator in the parish Thursday night.
He has been identified as Troy Cooper, also known as “Slaughter”, 38, of Prosper Hall, Exchange, St Ann.
He was reportedly drinking with friends at the bar around 8:20 p.m. when a man dressed in black approached and had a brief conversation with him.
An explosion was heard and Cooper was found with a suspected gunshot wound to the head.
The police received the call and handled the situation on the scene.
The motive for the killing has not yet been determined.
