This document is intended to help scientists and the public, who may not be familiar with bee taxonomy, learn how to actually identify bees in sagebrush steppe and chaparral habitats in southwestern Idaho. We provide information to identify bees by family and genera. Included is a tentative list of bee genera captured at sites used for insect community studies.
