South African music superstar Musa Keys will headline Thrones Bar & Lounge’s fifth anniversary celebrations on Friday 9 August.
Known for hits like “Samarian Boy” and the double-platinum certified “Vula Mlomo,” Musa Keys is a renowned producer and performer known for his huge contribution to the Amapiano genre. He also won the Metro FM Music Award for Best Genre Artist alongside the likes of Mafikizolo, Sjava and DaliWonga.
Musa Keys will be joined by talented DJs including Sir Aludah, DJ Jerry, Danches, Rogervan, Cacie and DJ Khurk, who will perform a variety of music including Ugandan Kidandali, Reggae, Hip-Hop and 90s R&B, ensuring a high-energy fifth anniversary celebration for all in attendance.
Thrones Bar & Lounge has partnered with Johnnie Walker Uganda to celebrate its anniversary. Johnnie Walker will complement the celebrations by showcasing its iconic Gold Reserve to capture the spirit of the celebration. The global celebration brand will also be offering its entire whisky portfolio including Black Label, Red Label, Double Black, Green Label and Blue Label.
Christine Kyokunda, Brand Manager for Johnnie Walker, is excited about five years of fantastic collaboration. She said: “Johnnie Walker and Thrones Lounge have had a mutually beneficial relationship over the years and we are proud to celebrate this important milestone with them. Thrones Lounge has thrived over the past five years, even during the pandemic, and in true Johnnie Walker style we are hosting this party. It’s going to be a fantastic party. We’ll be opening with our celebratory signature Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve whisky, but guests will have the opportunity to choose from our full range of whiskies.”
Advance booking is required to attend the anniversary party. VVIP tables are priced at Sh2 million, including a bottle of Johnnie Walker Blue Label and a food platter. VIP tables are priced at Sh1 million, including two bottles of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve. Additionally, tables for four are priced at Sh500,000, including a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve.
Since opening in 2019, Thrones Lounge and Restaurant has grown to become one of Kampala’s liveliest hangouts, and this anniversary is sure to be an unforgettable celebration.
