Tanks, planes, helicopters, drones, men, women and “tough kids”: During the 2024 Soesterberg summer offensive, people and equipment came very close this weekend. For this, the National Army Museum pulled out all the stops. If that’s not possible, young and old can also take a look inside the wardrobe.

The National Military Museum depot is open to visitors today and tomorrow during the Soesterberg Summer Offensive. This gives them a unique look behind the scenes. There they can watch live the restoration of the last Dutch seaplane, the Katharina.

The defending team will end the summer with a bang along with the visiting team. Or as one happy parent said of last year’s edition: “It was so much fun, our kids are still talking about it.”

Combat operations during the Soesterberg Summer Offensive are planned from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Soesterberg State Military Museum and its surroundings.
Just buy one ticket and you’re good to go. Discounts are available for young “soldiers” and those with veterans’ or defense cards.
