The president of the Encuentro Ciudadano party, Delsa Solórzano, stressed in an interview with Venevisión on Sunday, July 21, the importance of the armed forces remaining neutral and exclusively serving the country.
“The armed forces cannot have any kind of partisanship and must serve the nation, and I expect them to fulfil their constitutional obligations,” he declared.
Solorzano also addressed President Nicolás Maduro, inviting him to a post-election dialogue and expressing his confidence in the victory of the Unity Platform candidate Edmundo González Urrutia. “Mr. Maduro, I invite you to speak once Edmundo González is elected president because the transition must begin in the country,” he said.

In addition, political leaders pointed out that official leaders have repeatedly violated electoral regulations. “Candidate Maduro has repeatedly violated electoral regulations,” Solorzano said. He said these violations have been officially reported and are based on technical assessments.
Solorzano also condemned the arbitrary detention of those providing services to the campaign command. “We report that those who provide services to us are being detained,” he said, expressing concern for the safety of collaborators and the impact of these arrests on the electoral process.
