Social cafe “Socium” awaits you in Batumi

The social café “Sotsium” has been open in Batumi for several months. The social enterprise café was created by the Entrepreneurship Development Center within the framework of the EU-funded project “Employment and Cooperation Skills – Prospects for Georgian Regions”.

The “Sociium” is a multifunctional space housing a café, shop and training centre.

“Sociium” offers various services to its users. People who come here can taste the menu of the cafe or buy natural, locally produced products, eco-friendly souvenirs and products, works of art.

Additionally, users arriving at the site can book space for business meetings, trainings, presentations, information sessions, masterclasses and other events to develop the skills of entrepreneurs.

On May 24, the Business Forum for Women Entrepreneurs 2024, organized by the Adjara Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association of Business Women, was held in Batumi, attended by Ekaterine Targamadze, co-founder and head of Social Café Socium, which was nominated in the category of “Corporate Social Responsibility”. The forum was held with the support of TBC Business. About 200 delegates from all over Georgia took part in it.

The purpose of the forum is to promote the development of small and medium-sized enterprises, increase access to finance for women entrepreneurs, highlight the importance of women’s participation in business, promote their activities and establish business contacts.
