Building capacity of extension workers in Kenya’s drylands

To bridge the gap between research and dissemination of information to smallholder farmers, extension workers were trained in integrated agronomic management of chickpea, pigeon pea, groundnut, sorghum and millet to improve production. The training was held from June 9 to 12 at the Egerton University Dryland Research Training and Ecotourism Centre in Chemerron, Baringo Dryland County.
