Samaj Jana Balavega decided to postpone the appointment of new persons to fill the vacant posts of councillors due to the abolition of the seats of Mr. Harin Fernando and Manusha Nanayakkara.
According to reports, media channels leading and participating in Samagi Jana Balavega strongly protested against the appointment of former MP Hirunila Premachandra as a member of Parliament from the National List.
One of its leaders also allegedly informed that support provided by its media network would be suspended if Hirunika Premachandra was appointed as a member of Parliament.
