The FedECREDITO system organized for the fourth time the “EMPRENDE SALVADOREÑA” congress, aimed at highlighting and promoting the active role of women in the country’s social, business and economic spheres.
In El Salvador, according to the Multipurpose Household Survey (2022), more than 42% of the economically active population are women; Likewise, in the operations of FEDECRÉDITO SYSTEM, the female sector represents an important niche in the portfolio of clients using its financial solutions, which is why they are committed to accompanying them in the realization of their goals and dreams.
The event brought together more than a thousand women, including entrepreneurs, businesswomen, young university students, female members of the CDMYPE, members and clients of the FEDECRÉDITO system and the general public.
Three practical workshops were held on the day, delivered by experts from the International Finance Corporation (IFC).

This edition saw the participation of national and international experts such as Camila Orantes, Salvadoran and co-founder of the start-up “Spot”, who shared her experiences and success stories, highlighting the key aspects of learning in the implementation of entrepreneurship and the importance of resilience.

Attendees also learned the secrets of effective leadership from Mema Rodriguez, who has extensive experience in developing brand and market strategies, leading established brands in the mass consumer space. Ale Velasco, an international advocate for women’s empowerment and Latin American motivational and leadership expert, also participated in the Discovery Home & Health channel, with the theme “You Have the Key to Fly and Shine.”
On the same day, experts from the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) held three practical workshops to share knowledge and tools for designing and adjusting business plans; as well as guidelines for its operation and development; in addition to sharing design thinking methodology to identify new business ideas and solutions based on customer needs, the focus was also on the most important aspects of managing finances to obtain different types of financing and strengthen the business.
