The project “Breakthrough in Solar-Driven Desalination and Hydrogen Production” led by Ho Chung-yin from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CityU designed an innovative three-dimensional porous micro-nanostructure surface to achieve solar-driven evaporation of seawater into fresh water and catalytic hydrogen production using solar-driven electricity, and won both the special award and the gold award.
