World News NetworkNews reportThis year, the Chinese delegation brought 33 invention projects to the exhibition, winning 17 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. In Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University won9 awardsincluding the second prize, two special prizes, five gold prizes and one silver prize, covering areas such as healthcare equipment, innovative materials, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things and sensor technology. PolyU Vice-President (Research and Innovation) Zhao Ruheng said that the university won many awards this year, reflecting its scientific research and inventions.Internationally recognized.

First, the “Wireless Breathable ECG Patch for Critical Care” led by Zheng Zijian from the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology of PolyU won the second prize and the gold medal; the “Smart Pad Night Bracket: A Solution for Treating Primary Scoliosis in Adolescents” developed by the team of Ye Xiaoyun, Associate Dean of the School of Fashion and Textiles of PolyU won the Special Prize and the Gold Award of the Korea Invention Promotion Association. In addition, the “3D Printed Three-Period Minimal Surface (TPMS) Bone Bracket” developed by Zhao Xin, Professor of the Department of Applied Biology and Chemical Technology of PolyU and founder of Ruixin Biotechnology Co., Ltd., won the Special Prize and the Silver Award of the Croatian Inventors Union.

CityU wins 5 awards in its first competition

City University of Hong KongFirst time exhibitingwith research projects covering areas such as healthcare, sustainable development, clean energy and biomedicine.5 awardsincluding one special award and four gold awards. The project “Breakthrough in Solar-Driven Desalination and Hydrogen Production” led by Ho Chung-yin from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at CityU designed an innovative three-dimensional porous micro-nanostructure surface to achieve solar-driven evaporation of seawater into fresh water and catalytic hydrogen production using solar-driven electricity, and won both the special award and the gold award.
