ShopRite Pharmacy is Wakefern Foodsthe retailer-owned cooperative and logistics and merchandising arm of ShopRite stores, is launching an in-store retail media network Grocery TV Engage shoppers and provide pharmacy customers with health-related information during their visit.
“ShopRite Pharmacy is excited to expand its in-store retail media network into the pharmacy space with Grocery TV,” said Darren Caudill, chief sales officer at Keasbey-based Wakefern. “They have simplified the process of adding new touchpoints in our stores and allowed us to easily manage in-store messaging through their content management system so we can deliver important information to our ShopRite Pharmacy customers.”
“Drugstores are an important touchpoint with customers for both retailers and brand advertisers, especially for healthcare, pharmacy and fitness products or services,” said Don Oelke, co-founder and COO of Grocery TV. “Many supermarkets in our network have pharmacies, so providing a tailored in-store retail media experience for pharmacies was a natural next step.”
Grocery TV’s content strategy for drugstores includes its new health and wellness-focused video channel, retailer messaging, and contextually relevant brand advertising to engage and inform shoppers as they wait in line or walk by a drugstore.
ShopRite stores that introduce “Grocery TV” to pharmacy areas can leverage the in-store retail media network to promote prescription drug savings programs and information about pharmacies and other health-related products to in-store customers.
