this Electricity and Fuel Regulation (SEC) Reports say Enel’s expiry process will move to the next stage after the company failed to comply with supply replacement requirements.

he Your Excellency Diego Pardo, Minister of Energy, Confirmation “The information gathered by the SEC so far has allowed us to confirm that the requirements have not been met, and therefore the process for the expiration of Enel’s concession will continue to the next stage.”

Pardo said that as the government “We have a responsibility to ensure that our institutions are respected. “This process will continue in a responsible and conscientious manner.”

this Superintendent Marta Cabesa Explain what is happening now “It is the preparation of a technical report on the compliance of all aspects considered by the electrical system standards and the quality of the electricity supply provided by Enel to its customers.”

Regarding the deadlines for the reports, the director said, “We have found that these processes take between 6 and 18 months, because analyzing whether a company is compliant is related to technical aspects that must be evaluated, and in some cases, from January 1 to December 31, because we are talking about taking into account all aspects of carrying out services to customers.”

Moreover, he assured that “sanctions will continue, charges have been laid. The companies must show their brazenness, and the regulator will analyze the merits,” and that “if violations continue, appropriate fines will be imposed.”
