King Saud Medical City, a member of the first health cluster in Riyadh, has recorded a medical achievement of implanting two smallest wireless devices simultaneously in the ventricles, atria and ventricles of the heart, one of the achievements of modern medicine. The devices were implanted by a team specialized in cardiac electrophysiology, the city explained, and the transplant was performed on an octogenarian patient suffering from heart block and heart rhythm disorders, noting that the service was able to regulate the heartbeat without the use of internal wires or external generators, and that the patient is in good health – praise God.
Notably, the Cardiac Health Centre at King Saud Medical City has outstanding and high-level national capabilities in various specialties and has previously completed an outstanding surgery that was the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa region.
