Valentin Rugwabiza expressed the United Nations’ appreciation for the contribution of the Rwandan Armed Forces in the peace mission in Central Africa and for the fact that they continue to be a model for the successful completion of the tasks assigned to them in the country, which include managing security and carrying out activities that enhance the well-being of the population.


Speaking to soldiers in Bria, he said the purpose of his visit to the Central African Republic was to convey a message from the Commander of the Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) thanking them for their dedication to protecting civilians in the performance of their duties. He stressed the importance of maintaining professionalism, avoiding mistakes, respecting the values ​​and ethics of the Rwandan Defence Forces (RDF) and continuing to hold high the Rwandan flag as a representative of their country.

After being received by Mrs. Valentin Rugwabiza, Major General Vincent Nyakarundi also visited the Level II hospital, which provides a variety of medical services to MINUSCA personnel deployed in the east of the country, including surgical and intensive care, physiotherapy, internal metal anesthesia, internal medicine, dental services, etc.
