The Ojo Sano Foundation will celebrate its 12th anniversary on August 29 by rewarding citizens with a special three-day Vision Day at 27 De Mayo Street, Managua, next to the old Cabrera Cinema.

Doctor Abraham Delgado, president of the Ojo Sano Foundation, explained that on the 28th they will be dedicated to the 30 people who will arrive from tomorrow until the 27th, saying that they heard this information on Tu Nueva Radio Ya.

Tu Nueva Radio listeners will be given a voucher upon arrival which entitles them to free examinations throughout the ophthalmology and optometry areas.

Representative Adriana Morales said that as part of the celebrations, on August 30, the first 30 people who arrive at the foundation will be given coupons that will allow them to receive discounts on eye consultations, optometry services, lenses, medications and glasses.

Adriana stressed the importance of the event on the 29th, which will focus mainly on the treatment of cataracts, while they will also seek to attract the elderly, as they are at greater risk of this vision disease.

Dr. Delgado explains that cataracts have no symptoms and don’t cause pain, but they gradually affect vision, causing symptoms such as blurred vision, sensitivity to sunlight and glare from headlights.

The expert assures that developing some type of cataract is almost inevitable after the age of 65. In addition, he warns that diabetics, even if they are not elderly, can quickly develop cataracts due to fluctuations in blood sugar levels.

The Sano Ohjo Foundation reaffirms its commitment to vision health by providing this important opportunity for those who need it most.
