The Police Command has been equipped with eight patrol cars, a van and five more motorcycles since Monday this week to eliminate insecurity on the streets of Laita and intensify the fight against crime.

This new acquisition was made possible thanks to the delivery of motor vehicles by the Governor of Cochabamba, Humberto Sánchez, in accordance with the provisions of Law 264 on the National Citizen Security System.

“We are proud today, I would not call it a minimal act, I would call it a transcendent act, because there is joy in the institutions and in society in general, knowing that as authorities we have always been reconciled with the institutions through these working tools, and I am sure that my brother governors will promote the olive green and empowerment, which will be for the good of society,” said Colonel Jorge Rene Rios, commander of the police unit.

The event, held in front of the provincial cultural hall, brought together state legislators, departments and police authorities.

On the occasion, Governor Humberto Sánchez celebrated the delivery and stressed that the motor vehicle will “serve the people of Cochabamba”.

Urcupinha

It is understood that motor vehicles will start to be used during the Feast of Our Lady of Urcupinha, a religious celebration that marks the center of the celebrations this week.
