Santiago, Santiago – The director of the Santiago Civil Protection, Francisco Arias, has called on organizers of large events and artistic shows that are regularly held at the Cibao Stadium, located in the area of the Monumento de Heroes, Reparations and the Gran Arena del Cibao, to make ambulances available for any incidents that may occur.

“We urge managers of stadiums, sports palaces and other venues hosting events, whether sporting, cultural, artistic, religious or any other nature, to have qualified personnel and ambulances available to respond to any situation.”

“Keep in mind that given the high temperatures we’re experiencing, there could be situations that arise.”

According to Arias’ statement, those in charge should demand what protocols to follow when any type of unexpected situation may arise.

He recalled that the agency he worked for was responsible for prevention, so he called for the practice to be regularized in order to save lives.

Lifeguards said this requirement must be reflected in the rental contract.

He said that ambulances will be available during baseball and basketball games, but their duration should always be extended.
