Samsung Electronics America The company announced Thursday that it plans to move its North American headquarters from Ridgefield Park to Englewood Cliffs in 2025.
The day before, Unilever announces move of its North American headquarters from Englewood Cliffs to Hoboken — although it’s unclear if the two statements are related.
Samsung officials have not said whether the company will take over the space left by Unilever — but the rapid turnaround seems likely to make that a challenge.
Samsung issued the following statement:
“This move marks an exciting new chapter, and we are proud to continue our presence in Bergen County,” the statement said.
Samsung currently has 48,000 square feet of space at the Overpeck Corporate Center, located at 85 Challenger Road. The company signed a 10-year lease for the property in late 2019.
The lease was signed with KABR Group and the status of the lease is unclear, but the office park has been sold to Asian Investment Managementa South Korean company, in 2020.
