Yonhap News Agency reported that Samsung labor and management will restart salary negotiations today.
Labor and management will discuss wage increases, ensuring a one-day holiday on the union’s founding anniversary, improving the bonus system, and compensating for economic losses caused by the strike.
It is reported that at the third post-coordination meeting of the Central Labor Committee held at the end of last month, the trade unions demanded an average wage increase of 5.6%, but the employers showed that they could not change their position of an average wage increase of 5.1%.
The National Samsung Electronics Workers’ Union, the largest labor union at Samsung Electronics, launched a general strike on the 8th of this month, the first strike in the company’s history.
