Information that is about to be released will reveal how the Kyekyerwere East constituency councillor, Kwabena Boateng, ended the lives of two people following an argument.
Kwabena Boateng shot dead a 16-year-old and a 20-year-old young man in their cocoa shop in Dunkwa Kyekyerwere in the Central Region.
According to Kwabena Boateng, he has been on high alert since 35 bags of cocoa went missing from his shop. He claimed to have seen three suspects trying to break into his shop.
At 2 a.m., he was guarding the place.
He narrated that the criminals noticed him and tried to flee, that’s when he pulled out his weapon and fired several shots at them. The bullets hit two suspects and killed them instantly, while the third victim escaped.
Tragically, one of the victims died at the scene and the other died on the way to the hospital.
The councillor has been arrested and is currently in police custody assisting with investigations.
