Paul Kagame, who has served as Rwanda’s president for 24 years, was re-elected for a fourth term. According to the Rwanda Central Electoral Commission, Kagame received 99.15% of the votes after 79% of the votes were processed.
He received more than 99% of the vote in the second consecutive presidential election.
