The agreement signed by the two countries includes military and security cooperation, police cooperation, knowledge exchange on correctional services, and visa waivers for diplomats.
After the signing of the agreement, President Kagame praised King Mswati III for attending the swearing-in ceremony, saying that the visit was a sign of the good relations between Rwanda and Swaziland.
“We are delighted to welcome you and the team to Rwanda. I also thank you for participating in the swearing-in ceremony with the Rwandans and we are very grateful for your presence,” he said.
President Kagame said the visit of King Muswati III showed that Rwanda and Eswatini were good friends.

“This visit shows that Rwanda and Swaziland are good friends and we hope they remain that way and develop further. We also want to strengthen our commitment to cooperation and that is why the agreement was signed today,” he said.
President Kagame went on to say that the leaders of the two national institutions have been cooperating with each other at different times, stressing that this is a good basis for their acceptance.
President Kagame said Rwanda stands ready to share its experience in the transformation process with partners and friends such as Swaziland.
President Kagame expressed to King Mswati III that he would visit Eswatini in the future to continue to strengthen the good relations between the two countries.
“Thank you for visiting our country, I hope you enjoy your visit, I am ready to continue working with you and I look forward to the day when I can visit Swaziland in the future.”

King Mswati III thanked President Kagame for inviting him to the swearing-in ceremony.
In his speech, King Mswati III expressed his happiness for the good time he and his entourage had spent in Rwanda.
“Mr President Kagame, I thank you for inviting the Kingdom of Swaziland to the swearing-in ceremony to lead Rwanda again, everything went well. The traditional dances and martial arts were very gentle,” he said.
He also thanked him for his recent victory in the election for the head of state and wished him all the best as he continues on his journey to develop the country.
He said Rwanda and Swaziland were countries working together in pursuit of peace and security, development, food self-sufficiency and addressing the effects of climate change.

“Rwanda is a country that has made progress in technology projects, as we witnessed yesterday when we visited the Irumbo Technology Center, which helps the government deliver services and bring technology-based solutions,” he said.
King Mswati III thanked President Kagame for the successful conduct of the presidential and House of Representatives elections and that his participation demonstrated his confidence in President Kagame.
“We wish you success in continuing to lead the country to greater heights,” he said.
He said Rwanda and Swaziland were countries working together in pursuit of peace and security, development, food self-sufficiency and addressing the effects of climate change.

King Mswati III went on to say that his visit on Wednesday would focus on industries in Masoro.
He said: “Among the projects I visited was a university specialising in IT security. We are sure that we will learn from your journey, especially since we have similar companies in our Kingdom.
King Mswati III expressed his hope for more cooperation between the two countries in the future.
Since King Mswati III arrived in Rwanda, he has carried out various activities. On Monday, August 12, 2024, he visited the headquarters of the Irembo Institute of Technology to learn about the institute’s performance in rapidly developing service startups.
King Muswati III arrived in Kigali on August 10, 2024 and attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Kagame on August 11, 2024.
