Russia wants to ban ‘low-skilled’ labour migrants from bringing in family members and relatives

Yes, in On your Telegram channel State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin wrote that on immigration policy, the State Duma is considering 28 bills, six of which were introduced in August.

According to him, it is recommended that:

– Prohibit low-skilled labor migrants from bringing their families, relatives and loved ones with them;

– Make fingerprint registration mandatory for foreign citizens when entering the territory of the Russian Federation;

– Restrictions on certain types of work for foreign citizens, including in the fields of medicine and education.

Vyacheslav Volodin added: “Deputies of all political factions in the State Duma expressed support for these measures.”
