On the night of June 1, Russian occupiers launched a powerful missile and air strike against critical infrastructure in different regions of Ukraine using air-, sea- and ground-based missiles and Shahed-type attack drones. According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces Air Force, the enemy launched a total of 53 missiles of various types and 47 attack drones.

Ukrainian defenders recorded that the enemy launched a total of 35 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles from Tu-95MS strategic aviation aircraft (launch area – Saratov region, airspace over the Caspian Sea – Russian Federation); 4 Iskander-M ballistic missiles (from Crimea); 1 Iskander-K cruise missile (from Crimea); 10 “Caliber” cruise missiles (from the northeast of the Black Sea); 3 X-59/X-69 guided aircraft missiles (from the airspace over the Zaporizhia region); 47 “Shahed-131/136” attack drones (launch area Primorsko-Akhtarsk – Russian Federation).
In this air defense battle, a total of 81 air targets were shot down, including: 30 X-101/X-555 cruise missiles; 4 “Caliber” cruise missiles; 1 Iskander-K cruise missile; 46 “Shahed-131/136” attack drones.
Commander of the Armed Forces Nikolay Oreshchuk thanked the troops for their work and noted that Russian terrorists have not given up their intention to destroy the country’s fuel and energy sector. The Ukrainian Air Force and Defense Forces are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from achieving its goals on all fronts.
It is worth noting that the former Minister of Energy German Galushenko He reported on Facebook that on the evening of Saturday, June 1, Russia attacked energy infrastructure in five regions of Ukraine with rockets.
According to him, in the next attack, Russia attempted to hit the energy infrastructure of the Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kirovograd and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.
