According to him, more than 40 soldiers and 8 pieces of military equipment from both sides participated in the patrol, which was also accompanied by Russian Aerospace Forces’ Ka-52 and Mi-8 helicopters.

The Russian military said that the above patrols were carried out normally and no violations occurred.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the meeting between the Russian and Turkish sides was held at the Sherk checkpoint. The Russian convoy included Tiger, Typhoon and VPK-Ural armored vehicles, and the Turkish convoy included Kabi armored vehicles.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that the purpose of these joint patrols is to monitor the situation and prevent the resumption of armed conflict. To this end, Russian and Turkish military personnel conducted visual inspections of the area 10 kilometers from the border.
“The results of the joint Russian-Turkish patrols once again prove that the presence of Russian military personnel on the territory of the Syrian Arab Republic is a guarantee of peace and stability in the region,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement said.
