A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.2 struck the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula in Russia’s Far East.
The U.S. National Tidal Observatory issued a tsunami warning, saying the earthquake had a magnitude of 7.4.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the earthquake had a focal depth of 51 kilometres.
