There is no doubt that development and environmental sustainability in rural drylands of developing countries depends on The critical role women play in agriculturefood and nutrition security, household income, health and well-being, education and other cultural and socioeconomic aspects of life. Yet women are often excluded from decision-making processes and lack access to key resources.
At the CGIAR Dryland Systems Research Project, we believe that rural dryland communities can only thrive when all members have equal rights to contribute to and benefit from sustainable agricultural livelihoods. International Day of Rural Women October 15I am pleased to invite you to explore:
